December 31st, marks the end of the year 2008..

Year 2008 has been rather colourful for me, starting of the year working in ABN AMRO, with great benefits and definitely learnt alot (best is what i still could remember now) Then sem 3 took a huge plunge for my results, and that made me work much harder for semester 4. Then , the work in Nova Scotia, definitely the best workplace, not in terms of culture, but in terms of learning experiences, being able to get directly involved in treasury back-office doing stuffs related to finance, its definitely an eye opening experience

The fun part is, I get what I wanted, when I want to quit, and I need not pay a refund. Cause they decided to release me since someone is coming in to replace me, so from a month, its reduced to 2weeks (wow.. fantastic) and yet benefited from it.

Alot say, there's nothing much to teach and learn within a short period of time, to me, an interview is learning chance, a day trip is, a day's work is to. It depends on whether you wannna take time and absorb and observe what is happening. Even taking a bus can sometimes give you lessons.

sem 4 was miraculous, fantastic lecturers, great desire to achieve goal, made a difference, and my result was what I want..

Now working in campbells, it has been a month, initially didn't like the job, and was always frustrated about it, sometimes you'll feel alright, sometimes it just depresses me. And so I thought I could make arrangement to change my current job scope (well, widen my knowledge) cause I don't want to waste my two months doing data entry which to me is unproductive, when i already get a REAL low pay.

Sis then say i was expecting too much, as an intern you don't expect people to guide you and train you. I think she made sense there? So i didn't question much and end up trying to want what i get (john mcgray)

That was in the midst of 2nd week

Yesterday, it was at my limit. I was basically SLEEPING at work, never felt so terrible before, I was always the one energetic moving all around, giving 110% of what I should. I hate it, when it happens

I was really upset, then the thing that happened was came a new found friend i got to know 2months back. Definitely a gift, though we had much complication in between arguing and getting confused. The unconditional love we had for each other, made us pulled out strong for each and every tough rides ahead.

So, it took me the entire night, to think about what I'm gonna do to make things right at work. And i'd decided when i woke up this morning, to complete my current task (data entry) and to ask for more.

And so I came to work today, with the will and preserverance to survive. THen you know.. how important is your thoughts, when you dislike it, no matter how hard you try, you still will suffer. But once you'd decided that you'll make a change, it seems that your body would work even harder for you, the power of mind.

I gave Alicia a call, and she told me that it shouldn't be that way, an intern is supopse to learn from desired department. But she say, i'm a scholar, i should work things out myself. So figure, and let your boss know.

And it only took me 5 minutes to actually come out with an idea. I immediately storm into my boss's room well, I stormed POLITELY yea.. and sat down and told him that, I was required to come out with a report on something i had learnt the past one month (which is nothing) and I need to plan out what I'll learn next month (which is what I can control and demand for) requested for a meeting on friday.

This time, i would make things work for me. ASK.... and get the message across, the proper way, and you shall be answered.

Yes.. that would be the best new year resolution I could ever give myself, MAKING THINGS WORK WITH MY OWN HANDS IF I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Bukit Tabur Hike

Now who would not love sunrise, especially when you are with your loved ones...

well,you can catch sunrise without much effort if you're in redang, or perhaps some island..

even better, hop on to the net, google sunrise, you can even have the video too.

What is worth more, is when you USE all your MIGHT to CLIMB HIGH and witness the sunrise, on a klang gate (bukit tabur) Had always been talking about bukit tabur with my mates.. gosh!!! And all i hear from them is Michelle? When are you going to turn your WORDs into ACTIONS? join us laaa..

So despite its AN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING

despite, I HAVE A COMPETITION DATELINE on the same day

and .. DESPITE, i have not completed my work... I join the divers a.k.a crazy fellas a.k.a monkeys to hike bukit tabur.. JUST to see SUNRISE..

A bit intro of Bukit Tabur, a batu kapur hill with length approximately 1km, about 400metres above ground, located near Taman Melawati.

It is known as the klang gate as you will be able to catch the entire KL view, though further than what you can see from the look out point back in Hulu Langat, this hill gives different challenges, as you need to CLIMB up. and about 60% of the entire hike is CLIMB not hike.. means.. gotta use ya hands.. rock climbing style you know.Thus made the trip much more interesting...

So we woke up at 4.30 am, went to meet up at a point 5am. Drive down to nearby stall to makan till 6 am, drove to the car park and start hiking at about 6.20am..

So we climbed and we climbed, with torches on our heads, we went UPWARDS,

just to catch sunrise

My sis and I before the hike, both only slept bout like 2hours?? and trying to act ENERGETIC..wakakakaka

And so there were 10 of us, having a briefing..

remember, code names and no names allowed in the jungle.

So?? SATU SAMPAI SEPULUH laaaa ..

I was number 6.

Climb halfway upwards, sis felt dizzy, bet we started off too fast and she couldn't catch enough oxygen..

So she rested, and then I broke the 1st rule of the day by calling our leader

"Joshua.. how long more?"

Didn't notice, till number two called up ONE a.k.a Joshie and told him something

Paiseh laaa.. that was in the dark, man!!! I m terrible

Some of us went on, climbing higher and higher just to get a good view of the rising sun.

But but but... it was not long when all of us got frustrated by the 5minutes more kinda motivation.

For me, i woke up 4.30am for the sunrise, DO or DIE also must reach the spot by then, if not might as well i come at 8am right? aih!!!..

So i monkeyed my way up, and the real challenge was the rock climbing and the steepness of it.

There's one friend of ours who wore lots of acessories, rings and all, with her hair LONG and untied, and she could do it, I with my pride, am SURE i can do it too..

Reached the peak at close 7++ I don't quite remember.

And i couldn't resist to get myself SNAPPED, with the view, yes the ferns are in the way, but yea.. I couldn't get any much further cause I'll just bungee jump without the rope, screaming to god say here i C.O.M.E


After a while when no one wanted to try Joshua's OVERNIGHT LEFTOVER TARTS..
we moved ahead to cross the hill. Basically it was mainly rock climbing.

I was on the other hill, that they are to climb, down and up to my side..
btw, 400metres up and no ropes provided except for real steepy places.

it took us bout 2 hrs plus to complete the remaining course, now we are going DOWN hill which was easy.. cause no more rocks, and just land and sand and pokok and leaves and mosquitos and bites and falls and slides..

Conclusion? Exciting, though my thighs are hurting real badly now. But wouldn't say no to any next trip provided that we have rock climb seessions laaa.. not just hiking

And owh.. the breeze on top was good, and you felt like on top of the world, when you completed the course, just like finishing a marathon.

My sis say if i do this weekly i may loose some weight ot accomodate for CNY..

I was 400metres above ground today, to walk pass the klang gate, and to witnesss the ever beautiful sunrise, with the rising mists from the dam, and the entire kl view, with Genting watching my back!

Supposed to join in a countdown (at my place) during the eve of Christmas… but somehow I’m too tired, and coincidently, my besties decided to postpone it, since like only got 3 kaki!!!! So Off to bed I went at 9++… woke up at 7 on Christmas morning to find out that my mum wants me to bring her to hot spring. Fuh!!! Bukan main terkejut I.

Took bout an hour to get ready left for hotspring was back about 9.30 bathe and headed straight to my Aunt’s place for lunch. Was super hungry, I was chewing on fries throughout the 30minutes journey, and yet, want to diet by CNY wor!! Hahahhahaha, lets keep goals as goals.

Ate at aunt’s place, immediately went to the guest room and??? SLEEP la of course. Till bout 4, went home, bath and went to PGRM to attend Jan Tan’s church musical! Heavens, fantastic project, and great effort by the organizing committee I met an OLE ex-colleague there, my 1st job in RE, my evil twin, (and I still have her card with me) the ever notorious and decent (omg contradicted myself) MICHELLE PETER LEONG!!! Omg.. pics up soon (as always).. then chatted with Jan Tan and Beatrice and Michelle and Gen Ric and Elvin and Steph and people, left about 8pm,

Went to find my bestie =P, not knowing where to go, I ding donged my way to sg wang, and resolved in eating NANDOs. My bestie =P did not tell me that it wasn’t “the” preferred choice, but somehow obliged cause I’M THE KING, PRINCESS PRIME MINISTER, whoever that has CONTROL and AUTHORITY K?...WHEN I ASK YOU TO STAND, YOU DON’T SIT OK!! So when you know chinese new year is approaching and that there is a need to go back hometown. I thought I could apply leave. Furthermore, Taylor's having BIG BIG OPEN DAY, so have to grab the opportunity to GRAB MEMBERS (recruitment for club) since we are retiring next year. So i thought i could apply 2 days leave

Went Up to boss... and did a humble request.. no rather an application.. lol.. and then the boss say, maybe we is not operating that week (drools..) but i don't know cause it is my first CNY here too :D..

So we wait for the next most experience HR staff, at least a decade in CCCM. So after some discussion, got to know that my leave is APPROVED.... YAY!!!!but but but...

there's no such thing as F.R.E.E. lunch!!!

So, when SARA is enjoying her 1st two weeks pay (that is freaking ALOT, claimed the super vain girl) I got to know that, my RM450 gets deducted due to unpaid leave application

WHOALAAAAA...

450 deduct already don't know left how much??? worst thing is.. i don't know when i'm getting my pay.. WUHUUUUU.. so i'm currently living on CREDIT.. thank god, mum and dad aren't BANKS.. if not, you imagine if there's interest on interest? OMG.. SARAAAA.. exchange job CAN????

I'm still dreaming of getting into the marketing department (dear lord please help me, i want .. i NEED.. for my competition, for my resume.. for the exposure, for the experience, for THE RELEVANCE) (God: my child, you're just a CHEAP labour, they are MNCs, you think they so free to entertain you? So we have a new information system for HR. So I was incharge of training modules and arrangement of it. Took me a day and a half to complete 400 courses coding and registration of the staff's training modules.

Boss then say, exit the system to do some back up. So michelle went spamming mails

Once its completed, Michelle Logged in again, and realised something is wrong, why can't she rekey-in those she had already done.. Then she went back to the back up and have a look. .. she found only 100 courses inside, and her staff information is EMPTY...

So I ask ms boss, why aren't my files there
she replied, i didn't touch your stuff
then she OWHHHH me..
then I feel like fainting..

There goes, i think my files weren't back up cause I just start using yday evening and today... now that its not there.

2nd Day At work

Fuh!!After a long talk with some ghost story teller yesterday, batt went off.. so cant continue *sniffs*
Hmmm, took me quite some effort to GET UP TODAY.. cause really tired and hate waking up early...

Anyway, came to work expecting nothing (continued my unfinished work yesterday) and my 1st gift of the day, plenty of products and company shirt



Now that's the advantage working in an FMCG plant. Fuh!!!!! i shall take back my words said yesterday.
The advantage is, you get free stuff.. lol!!!



Then i was introduced to the finance director of the company.. SHAKES.. ahaahahahaha.. he's a nice man, and he promised to get me into his department. WOW!!!dream coming true (pray hard for me yea)

Then, as I was bout to have my lunch, I was told I'll be brought to the manufacturing plant for a visit tomorrow. DOUBLE YAY!! Cause I requested and I got it. And its a once in a lifetime chance (due to strict cleanliness, not many can enter) (get ready with camera lol)

As the clock strucks near 5pm, I see colleagues getting down with their wallets, all talking bout buying stuff, as if there's some market in the middle of the INDUSTRIAL AREA..

And there's one benefit I can't tell you yet.. lol!!later you'll bug me for it. NOPE NOT TELLING. THough its really good bargain

Now lets just keep our fingers crossed. And i already have plans for coming weekend.

Comment : Well, today was my first day, expecting something from them but I guessed, its bad to have expectations. John Gray is trying to teach me to get what I want and to want what I have. Currrently, the former is not fulfilled, so i'm contented with the latter.



Sleepy day, 1st time in FM industry. Alot of safety precautions as it is a production plant itself.

Didn't manage to get into the department I wanted. So, when they got no where to allocate me to, they chuck me into HR department...



Now helping out to set up their ever new HRIS. (HR Information System)

Used to be in manual form. Pretty conventional I would say their management style. I'd been to many companies, and currently, this is one of the laid back ones. Perhaps, FMCG is not as generous as the Financial Institutions outside...



Well, an intern's range is around500-800. I'm given just 50 below average, nothing much to complain about, it is compulsory anyway. Shouldn't make myself feel any much worst. Now i need to skip lunch to learn more about other departments (That i'm interested in) as most of my working hrs are filled for HR stuff.



Hmmm... what would I say.. I would go back to college and tell the management that they should find principals whom have acquired interns before. At least they know what to do, expect. Like for me, I'm the 1st = guinea pig. Wait.. its a good thing as well, cause I might get exposed more.



Spent 4hours typing up over 400 training courses backdated to year 2001. I'm suppose to help do some coding. Hmmm, i sounded as if I'm IT based. LOL.. you know i'm not. Anyway.. there's always room to learn, anything anywhere (from sleeping, cooking ,movies, picking your nose) you can always make use of what is given, and maximise experience and exposure.



Tired now... 1st day at work, and re-arranging my biological time = drop dead tired.
